Privacy policy

Circulus Limited (“Circulus”, “we”, “us”) runs this website and our tools. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.

What we collect

Your details: your name, email, mobile number, and your partner's name and mobile if you give them to us.
Your answers and numbers: your quiz answers; the lifestyle you build; and the figures you give us, such as income, KiwiSaver, savings, investments, home value, mortgage and age.
What you do in our tools: the pages you open, the choices you make, and the results you send us. We use this so your tools remember where you're up to.
Payments: handled by Stripe. We see that you paid, but never your card details.
Cookies and similar technology: to keep you signed in, measure how the site is used, and measure our advertising, including Meta (Facebook and Instagram).

Why we use it

To work out your results, cost your lifestyle, and fill in your tools.
To send you your links, results and next steps by email and text.
To deliver what you buy: My Wealth Map ($19) and My Wealth Team ($99).
To improve our tools and content, using combined figures that don't identify you.
To measure our advertising.

Who we share it with

A licensed financial adviser in our network, but only when you ask us to connect you, for example when you book My Wealth Team. The adviser receives what you've worked out with us, so you don't start from scratch. Advisers are independent of Circulus and handle your information under their own privacy obligations.
Service providers who run parts of our service for us: hosting and data storage, email and text messaging, our customer database, Stripe for payments, and Meta for advertising measurement. Some of them store data outside New Zealand. Where they do, we take reasonable steps to make sure your information is protected to a standard comparable to New Zealand law.
When the law requires it.

We never sell your information.

Texts and emails

We'll only text between 8am and 9pm New Zealand time, unless you've chosen a time yourself. Reply STOP to any text, or use the unsubscribe link in any email, and we'll stop.

Keeping it safe, and for how long

We store your information securely and limit who can see it. We keep it while you're using our tools, and for as long as we need it for the reasons above or as the law requires. After that, we delete it or remove anything that identifies you.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it. Email our privacy officer at info@circulus.co.nz. We'll respond within 20 working days.

If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, tell us first. You can also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (privacy.org.nz).

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date above. If the change is significant, we'll let you know.
